A key ingredient as I design an outdoor space in Seattle is the mobile cart. Why? I counted the number of trips I made the last time I entertained on my patio. What an eye opener. Typically a wheeled service cart is 42″ long; 20″ wide and 36″ high. But they’re not created equal. See the examples below.

As many of my readers know, this Seattle interior designer loves slipper chairs. They are so versatile and useful for interior spaces. In High Point at the April market this chair by Stanford Furniture and the Julie Bova Browning collection captured my attention.

5. In the Entry/Foyer.

This Seattle interior designer loves trimmings as you know from previous posts. Accenting custom draperies in unexpected places fuses creativity into traditional or modern spaces. This week I installed panels just above twelve feet and the trimmed swag is the perfect punctuation.

According to a survey conducted by HGTV 2009 Outdoor Spaces and Casual Living, most consumers plan to spend more on their next conversation set. “I plan on investing in a product that is durable, stylish and comfortable so I can create a welcoming area for my family and friends.”

The Staycation concept is a reality so our outdoor spaces are a priority living space and this Seattle interior designer designs with comfort in mind. A hint of rustic fits well in the Northwest so I like this group from Gloster - Havana. Havana uses man-made wicker well suited for outdoor exposure. The natural colors, soft textures and rustic accents are both beautiful and practical as comfortable conversation seating for your patio.
