Interior Design Repeats via Seattle Met
Written by faithAs an interior designer in Seattle, I often ponder how to share my knowledge with a larger audience. And then fate intervenes. A few weeks ago, Hannah Bostwick, an intern at Seattle Met magazine, called for an interview. She wanted some tips for readers about using patterns as they decorate. So the October issue features her well written article and my tips. Check it out.
I love the title she chose…now that’s creative. “Can You Repeat That?”
Some key concepts:
- Create Balance For a clean, integrated look, combine patterns with different scales and textures.
- Use Color Carefully Choose a core color and repeat it in each pattern to create consistency throughout a room.
- Mix It Up Mixing multiple patterns is key to creating a complete look.
