Remove Stress by Setting a Deadline for a Kitchen Remodel
Written by faithThis Seattle interior designer is often asked about the timeframe for a kitchen remodel. With the kitchen the hub of the home, agreeing on a start and end date is critical to maintaining some stability in your household. So what to do when you want a NEW kitchen?
PLAN AHEAD Take the date you want to celebrate your new kitchen and add 3-4 weeks. Look at your calendar to plan for the time you need to start. I allow about 8 weeks to design and edit your new kitchen and place orders for all the products needed for your new kitchen. I always advise my clients to have the product ready. It’s better to wait on labor then experience backorders for materials.
If you want a major remodel ready in early October or November, we suggest you begin to design in June or July. I have several projects starting this month and I can promise that with the proper planning you can accomplish your update. A family trip before school begins allows the contractor tear out and installation time so our clients will have a beautiful new kitchen to serve their family for the holidays and beyond.
