My clients recently selected this pendant for their home overlooking the Puget Sound north of Seattle. And it’s perfect since they desire a mix of styles in this traditional home in contrast to the architecture. Another plus, the open design of the pendant allows the view of the ferry and water to remain unimpeded. Isn’t that the deal when you purchase and live in a waterfront home?
As a designer and blogger, I enjoy sharing solutions and ideas with my readers like this. I think of the solutions as inspirations to explore their own design directions not necessarily the ones shown in magazines and TV shows.
A new but quite complementary direction to the dining room pendant comes via the Folio sconce also from Hubbardton Forge. Two ribbons of hand-forged steel dance around each other as they rise up from the base of this sconce. Light reflects off the ribbon interiors to cast an attractive glow. I’m excited to see this pair as light dims and they cast a glow above the fireplace and living room seating. Please note the dining room pendant is burnished steel as are the sconces.
Expressing your personality in your home design is a key component for loving the home you live in. And with that in mind, my clients selected a whimsical pendant from Corbett Lighting. Called, Tranquility, the pendant has a place of honor adjacent to the kitchen in the breakfast room.
Personalizing design for my clients adds such a reward. When I can do that for them, I know I achieved my tagline ~
“I discover your passion for your home,
and match it with my passion for design.”
