Priority Email from Modenus

So the sender, Veronika Miller, caught my attention immediately with her email from Modenus. The question? Could I attend #BlogTourNYC. This I knew is a pinch me moment. With this post I start a recap of an exciting 6 days in the Big Apple with an even more exciting group of bloggers who, like me, received a priority email from Modenus.

WestEdge Design LA kicked off Day 1 with a trip to NYC’s floral district and a private session with Tess Casey. What a lovable story-teller she is. Quoting Harry Keaney, ”to describe her as a florist misses the mark. Rather, she’s an artist, a designer, a stylist, the creative genius behind major floral productions for giants such as CBS and MTV.”

Our challenge with Tess, create an arrangement, with her guidance. My trips to Pike’s Place Market in Seattle for flowers are forever changed…oh my what I learned from Tess.

Food and dining experiences abounded throught out our trip. Next stop for lunch, Eataly. Love, love this restaurant. (Hear rumors one may soon be in Seattle). Sponsored by DXV, we sipped on abundant glasses of Prosecco and sampled Italian food.

Next up the stunning new showroom displaying DXV. By American Standard, DXV, comprises a premium selection of meticulously crafted fixture and faucet collections curated into four broad movements: Classic (1880 – 1920), Golden Era (1920 – 1950), Modern (1950 – 1990), and Contemporary (1990 – today). http://youtu.be/bxyk6qby9mw My favorite faucet handle is below.

We ended this amazing Day 1 at the Miele showroom with a presentation of food photography & styling tips from the husband and wife team of House of Brinson. Then another feast crafted by chef Cedric Vongerichten. Read about him here.
