This poolside pavilion entertaining room was a big bonus when my clients purchased their home in the Bridle Trails neighborhood of Bellevue Washington. Plus it came with a large heated swimming pool.
Our firm was called to furnish and finish the pavilion room so they could entertain and enjoy the new space. Indoor to outdoor living is the theme of this two story addition which includes a guest room, full bath and weight room on the main floor and another entertainment space on the second level.
French doors open to the poolside pavilion making entertaining and pool use easy for family and friends. The grill is located conveniently near this area too.
What about all the chemicals in that pool? and the many users of the furnishings? We set to work to select appropriate upholstery for guests and family that was friendly to wet swimwear or beverages. The challenge was to achieve the level of sophistication the space and clients desired.
Fortunately, abundant textiles today are well suited to the challenge of poolside pavilion entertaining. Yet, the styles and seating selected are comfortable for year around entertaining when the pool is not in use.
The flatscreen is situated to be visible whether one is inside or outside or seated at the horseshoe shaped bar. Plus a gas fireplace is easily put to use during colder and rainy weather.
Obviously, the dramatic bar is the eye-catcher in this space. A large capacity wine chiller and cabinetry for spirits along with a dishwasher, sink and undercounter refrigerator combine to make this bar work for all occasions. The architectural millwork is a focal point of the poolside pavilion.
The barstools support the theme of elegance and old world design as seen in the adjacent upholstery. That said, the fabric on the barstools adheres to the chemical friendly theme.
