Yesterday I worked with clients to frame current and past images for their ‘refreshed’ whole house project. When we arrived at this image from Lockwood Dennis, it reminded my client of growing up in San Francisco..the streetcars and more. Art is emotional as it should be. Turns out we could all talk about the city of San Francisco and our memories.
A 15 minute pause allowed an exchange and I immediately observed our connections. We went on to select options for many more pieces of art and in the same vein, the where and who was a topic. This piece and another by the same artist will land in the home office. How perfect to bring memories to life with art around us.
I’m eager to share this project in Clyde Hill, WA in a future post. But for now, I encourage you to bring memories into your home and tell friends and family about them. Still in the shelter and distance mode, the ability of art to personalize calms and restores us. I can imagine my clients in their home office referencing this artist, time spent growing up in San Francisco and many other stories that come to their minds.
If you want to personalize your home office and other areas, let’s talk and explore how we can work together. It all begins with a 20-minute call.
