A Botched Remodel Saved and Revealed

Faith Sheridan along with H&H steps in to save a botched condo remodel.
The clients wanted function and style in their newly purchased Pike Place Market condo. Those were instructions to their contractor as they left for Europe. The clients turned to the team of Hammer and Hand who…

I’ve gathered some tips and ideas with that in mind in this blog post. So keep…

Interior Design Trends from the Portland Street of Dreams

As many of my readers know, this Seattle interior designer was a jurist for the 2012 Portland Street of Dreams. In my design projects, I enjoy creating detail and eye appeal using a mix of tiles.…

Luxurious Hand Crafted Tile Artistry in Calistoga at Portland Street of Dreams

Another favorite from my judging at the Portland Street of Dreams was the Calistoga by Pahlisch Homes. Beyond the tile, this home showcased some special features that this Seattle interior designer and judge loved. One was a pantry with a pass-through to…

Design Trends and Tributes at the Portland Street of Dreams

Yes, I was that fortunate Seattle interior designer asked to judge this year’s Street of Dreams in the West Linn area of Portland. No small task to review seven homes with other jurors in the space of four hours. Our first home, Montauk, invoked the Hampton’s. It is a classically styled and furnished home.
The living room ceiling captured my design eye immediately with the barrel vault detail. An easily navigated floor plan is another…
